Thank you to all those who submitted nominations for the 2022 Oncology Nurse of the Year Awards presented by ICON Cancer Centre.

Congratulations to all who have been nominated.

We appreciate your passion, dedication and commitment to cancer care in Queensland.

If you have been nominated, you have until 11.59 pm April 18 2022 to accept your nomination via Awards Force.

Nurses who have been successfully shortlisted will be contacted by 26 April 2022.

Congratulations on your nominations and best of luck!

One of the winners from these three categories will be named 2022 Oncology Nurse of the Year and will be formally recognised at an official awards ceremony and awarded with $10,000 to go towards professional development.

Selection CriteriaApplication Process

To apply, you will need to have the following information to hand:

  • The basic personal details of the nominee and nominator (if you’re not self-nominating).

  • The recent employment history and qualifications of the nominee.

  • Responses to the selection criteria (max. 300 words each).

  • Contact details for two references.

Please note that you will be able to save and return to complete your online application.

If shortlisted, two (2) formal references are required to support your application. A formal reference is an endorsement outlining how the you or the person you nominate meets the criteria. A letter of endorsement cannot be written by the nominee or nominator. Both letters of endorsement must be written by someone who has a professional affiliation with the nominee eg. Current or past manager or coworker.
